15 January - Ladypause 2012 Seminars

  "Since the inaugural meeting in July 2003: I have committed  a large part of my life to building a structure to expand Thyroid Australia activities into Queensland. Right from that first meeting it became obvious that  there was a great need for personal knowledge of Thyroid conditions and where to find accurate diagnoses and expedient treatment. Over the years with my research and development into Thyroid support and the help of a few volunteers, we have presented many regular public meetings, seminars and provided telephone, personal and E-mail support that has helped over 2000 people get answers, hope and learn to live with their Thyroid conditions in ways that weren’t accessible previously and all attributed to our well established and interactive support formula." - Rick Maynard

March 2010:Thyroid Australia (Brisbane) will be supporting the work of Ladypause (Brisbane) Peer Support Network. This web site will be officially hosting links to their on going work.“It’s a wonderful opportunity to combine our efforts to bring community health awareness to people, and the opportunity to work together for the wider  community. ................ Jacqui Geen: Ladypause Peer Support Network Facilitator.

It is extremely important that the flow of Thyroid support is not diverted  or the support may become denigrated in the future, which is the biggest concern.

Support groups: Thyroid Australia (Brisbane)  is always looking for committed volunteers to keep our high standard of public support work on going, giving as many people as possible the benefit of the most accurate Thyroid information in Australia and a chance to maintain a better quality of life.

Please be aware: Brisbane public support group information on the Thyroid Australia web site  has not been updated for years. Or little else for that matter.....................
